Is Lesuto Disco really free for artists?
Yes. Uploading, hosting, and distributing through Lesuto Hub commerce content is free in Phase 1. Listener subscriptions fund the platform. Artist revenue sharing rolls out as subscriber revenue goes live.
Do I keep ownership of my music?
You retain your masters and publishing rights. Lesuto Disco licenses usage for attribution-based commerce placements. Read the Artist Agreement for scope and territories.
How do I get paid?
Phase 1 focuses on attribution, licenses, and audience growth. Stripe Connect payouts for qualified listens and licensing revenue activate as Phase 2 revenue pools launch.
Who can upload?
Emerging artists at signup (Spotify follower gate applies). You must attest that you control masters and publishing for every track you upload.
How is this different from Spotify or DistroKid?

What file formats do you accept?
WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC, and OGG up to 200 MB. We transcode to streaming and preview formats automatically after upload.
Can I upload stems or albums?
Yes. Create albums from the artist portal, assign track order, upload cover art, and add optional stems for buyers who need mix-friendly assets.
What happens if someone misuses my track?
Licenses are cryptographically recorded. You can request takedowns for unauthorized use, and our DMCA process supports rights holders.
